What you get, and when
- Today: your own local number, and a text to you for every missed call with the caller’s number. Calls you don’t answer go to TextBack instead of your voicemail, so callers hear a short message and can’t leave one.
- After carrier approval: we also offer your missed callers a text-back (they press 1 to get it). Carriers have to approve our texting service first. Our earlier applications were declined, and a new one can be declined too, so we can’t promise a date or that it will be approved. There’s nothing for you to do, and we’ll text you the moment it’s live.
- Check your phone plan first: this needs a plan that can forward only the calls you don’t answer. Google Voice, Visible, Google Fi and Boost can’t.
