Privacy Policy
Last updated October 2, 2026
TextBack is a missed-call text-back service operated by LINEA HOLDINGS, a limited liability company registered in Puerto Rico (“LINEA HOLDINGS”, “we”). This is the privacy policy for the TextBack website and service, including the text messages TextBack sends. Questions: Dustin@callita.ai.
Who this policy covers
Two kinds of people use TextBack. Business owners subscribe to it. Callers phone a business that uses it. Callers are covered by the text messaging section below.
Text messaging (callers)
When you call a business that uses TextBack and your call is not answered, you hear a short recorded notice. If you press 1, TextBack sends you one automated text message about your call to that business, so you can tell them what you need. If you do not press 1, nothing is sent. The notice, the text and how consent works are shown in full on our text messaging program page, and the terms for these texts are our SMS Terms.
What we collect: the phone number you called from, the time of your call, the caller-ID verification status your carrier supplies for the call, your answer to the notice (which is our record of your consent), and the content of any text you send back.
How we use it: only to send you the text you asked for, to tell the business you called that you called, whether you asked for a text and whether it was delivered, to pass your reply to that business, to honor your opt-out, and to keep proof of your consent. LINEA HOLDINGS sends the text and is responsible for this information. The business you called receives your number, whether you asked for a text, and your reply; it already has your number because you called it, and businesses that use TextBack agree in their Business Terms to use that information only to respond to you about your call. We do not use it for anything else.
Message frequency: One text per call. We send at most one text to the same caller per business in any 24 hours, and none during that business's quiet hours (a text requested then is sent when quiet hours end). Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out. You can opt out at any time. Reply HELP for help.
We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
We do not record calls or voicemail. We never see or keep what you say on the call.
Business owners
We collect, from the business owner who subscribes:
- Business name, owner first name, email address, mobile number and business phone number.
- Timezone, preferred language and quiet-hours settings.
- Billing details, which are processed and stored by Stripe. We never see or store card numbers.
We use these to run the service: to give the business a number, to alert the owner by text and email when a call is missed, and to bill. Texts to business owners (account, billing and missed-call alerts) are a separate service-notification program from the caller texts above. They are sent from a different TextBack number, only to the mobile number the owner gave us, and never to callers. Owners agree to receive them when they subscribe (see our Business Terms). Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Service providers
We use Twilio (calls and text delivery), Supabase (database and sign-in), Stripe (business-owner billing), Resend (email) and Vercel (hosting) solely to operate TextBack. They process information on our instructions and may not use it for their own marketing.
How long we keep it
- Call audio: never recorded. We log that a call happened, the number it came from and the time.
- Call and message records: kept while the business’s account is open and afterwards until we delete them; we do not delete them automatically. We delete a caller’s call and message records, or a business owner’s, from our own systems, and ask Twilio to delete its copies, within 30 days of a verified request. That includes the alert texts we sent the business owner about that caller. Our service providers, such as Twilio and Resend, may keep limited logs for their own legal and security periods.
- Consent and opt-out records, including each STOP and START: kept for at least four years even after a deletion request, so we can show a caller’s consent and keep honoring their opt-out.
Your choices
Callers can reply STOP to any text to stop all TextBack texts to their number, or email Dustin@callita.ai to ask us to delete their information. Business owners can ask us to delete their data the same way. We respond to verified requests within 30 days.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We do not record call audio, so there is none to protect or to leak.
Children
TextBack is a business tool and is not directed at anyone under 18.
Changes and contact
